Product Manager


Reporting to the Brand Director, the successful candidate based in Saddle River, NJ, will be responsible for developing, leading and coordinating activities in the Imaging accessory market worldwide across product categories and distribution channels. Responsible for managing the new product development and coordinating all marketing activities for the assigned category, with responsibility for defining volume, sales, price and profitability targets.


Main Responsibilities :

  • Deploy a consumer driven strategy founded on innovation and best in class service, capable of delivering double digit revenue and profit growth for the company brands and strategic partners alike.
  • Working with multi layered teams to design, build and roll-out products that deliver the company's vision and strategy

  • Translate product strategy into product roadmap: range structure, product positioning & product specifications
  • Drive Innovation and Operations department to deliver new product with focused time-to-market, aligned cost structure and performance driven specs
  • Manage new products introduction from product brief to shelf.
  • Partner with Brand Experience Manager to deliver a Go-to-Market strategy & process Develop pricing, positioning & segmentation strategies in line with divisional targets
  • Support Brand Experience Manager to create promotions to achieve sales target
  • Support Brand Champions to deliver product training program for internal & external customers
  • Identify and propose opportunities for product/mix improvements and new initiatives through ongoing market, competitive and customer understanding
  • Manage product lifecycle including price changes, repositioning, end of life management
  • Proactively lead product launches working with Comm. & Brand Experience Manager to define all launch assets to support the product introduction
  • Undertake sales analysis and study market data and take necessary actions
  • Attend line review meeting of key national accounts & maintain a healthy product assortment
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding, generating buy-in for the vision both internally and with key external partners
  • Act as a contributor to the commercialization plan: follow product through its life cycle working in continuous collaboration with sales organization to maximize profitability
  • Manage Sales & Profitability of the assigned product range



  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3to 5 years of relevant product management experience
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in hard goods.
  • Combine strong analytical and envisioning skills and ability to use market research tools and methodologies to recognize and anticipate user needs and market opportunities (experience of analyzing NPD and GFK data is a plus)
  • Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
  • Good foundations and working knowledge of price and volume management processes, understanding of the P&L structure
  • Knowledge and/or personal interest in photography, and on electronics market; understanding of basic technology questions, passion for the product and innovation;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Relational and communication ability to maintain excellent relationships with all the different functions. Capable to work in complex and organized companies, where it is necessary to maintain an high level of collaboration and interdependence with other functions,
  • Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done
  • Commercial understanding: ability to develop a positive dialectic with sales community and drive market implementation of new products
  • Multi task / Flexible working attitude
  • Team player with the ability to work independently as required.
  • Strong ownership for projects and assigned category
